Purple Granola Bowl

What an awesome way to start the day!

This is a super easy way to have a smoothie and granola at the same time in the morning. I love this recipe! It’s sweet, healthy, and super colorful. Since I make my own almond and coconut milk, I do not add any flavor to them. So, when I feel like I want to give a twist to my granola, I add berries. You can also mix different kinds together, such as blueberries and blackberries. Whatever is your favorite! For me, blueberries are my top choice. They are full of antioxidant, great for the skin, great for the vision, and aid in bowel movement. Doesn’t it make you want to try it too?!! I hope so!

Purple Milk

  • 1/2 a cup of blueberries
  • 1 1/2 cup of almond milk (you can also substitute for cashew, or coconut if you like it better)

Granola Mixture

  • Granola (any brand you want, or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1-2 tbsp flax seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp Shia seeds

First blend the blueberries and milk together, then pour over your granola mixture.

Hope you love it as much as I do!

Until next time!

Morning Green Juice

I am so excited to be able to share my first ever post with you on the blog! This is one of my all time favorite and quickest ways to have my breakfast in the morning. Since I’m a nurse, and I start my day really early and drive a lot, this is a super nice way to have my vitamins and electrolytes on the go. I have 2 great machines at home to make my juices and smoothies. One is my Omega Juicer and the other is the Vitamix. The juice that I am showing you today is made in the Vitamix. If you don’t have a Vitamix, you can use any high-speed  blender that you have at home.

It is super easy, nutritious, refreshing, delicious, and healthy!

  • 2 cups of organic spinach
  • 1 orange (any kind of orange you like)
  • 1 1/2 cup of coconut water

Blend it all together for about 1 minute. What I like to do after, is strain it. You don’t have to if you don’t want to, but I like my juices very smooth. I add 2 ice cubes at the end instead of blending it with the juice at the beginning, which is optional.

Coconut water is an awesome way to get your electrolytes and also helps with constipation because of it’s large source of magnesium. Oranges have a large source of Vitamin C, which is perfect for immunity and spinach is a great source of protein. My favorite part of this juice is that all 3 of these items are excellent for perfect looking skin.

Hope you love it as much as I do!
